During this 7 week workshop we will look at ways to bring your mindfulness into daily life. Too often we let small moments pass us by rather than being fully aware of how we interact with others, and how we are using our bodies. The Alexander Technique is a way of examining ourselves (physically, mentally, and emotionally) in order to make conscious choices about how we move through our lives.
Over the course of this workshop we will explore some basic movements such as walking, sitting, using a computer, and learn to release tension to make these seemingly unconscious activities more intentional. Each week will also include an exploration of the breath, and tools for actively releasing tension.
